1960 Pioneer stereo receiver
Full electronic and cosmetic restoration: all capacitors and critical resistors replaced, everything cleaned; switches, controls, dial glass, etc., and the cabinet repainted. I also reworked the fixed-bias network for safety and adjustability, so that a matched set of output tubes is not absolutely necessary during servicing.
1962 Fisher 800 receiver and pair of Sansui SP 2500 loudspeakers.
These were rebuilt and upgraded for a family member. All critical components such as capacitors and resistors, power supply diodes, and output tubes were replaced on the receiver, and the Sansui speakers have new crossovers.
1955 Magnavox hifi record player consolette
Complete servicing of amplifier, preamplifier, and record changer. All important and critical components replaced; resistors, capacitors, etc. I refinished the lid with six coats of lacquer. I also added an auxiliary input adapter so the owner could hook up a phone or CD player. Result: a very happy and satisfied customer!
Early 60s Jensen TF-3 10"
3-way loudspeakers. Upgraded crossovers with new capacitors and inductors, along with good quality wire. New cloth surrounds for the 10" drivers, and all the drivers have been flush-mounted for much-improved performance. End result is a fantastic sounding pair of speakers with superb imaging and clarity, plus bass response that shakes the whole house.
